Throughout history, Armenians have faced immense challenges and hardships, yet we have endured. The courage and sacrifice of our soldiers and heroes are the reason our nation still stands today. From ancient battles to modern conflicts in 2020, 2022, and 2023, Armenian heroes have protected our homeland against relentless aggression. In honor of these brave men and women, we are hosting an Armenian Heroes Essay Competition for children aged 8-16. Participants are invited to write a 450-550 word essay about an Armenian hero they admire. We encourage students to not only focus on historical figures such as Garegin Nzhdeh and Andranik, but also to recognize modern-day heroes who have sacrificed their lives defending Armenia against Azerbaijani and Turkish aggression.

Additional Opportunity: The best essays will be collected and published in a book titled "Armenian Heroes Through Armenian Youth Eyes." All profits from the book sales will go to the young participants whose essays are included.
