About

We are excited to launch a new creative initiative inviting children from villages across Armenia to become storytellers, filmmakers, and cultural ambassadors.

In this challenge, participants will create short documentaries showcasing their villages through their own eyes—capturing the beauty, the people, the hidden gems, and the dreams they carry for the future.

Every village holds stories that are quietly waiting to be told: the morning sun touching the rooftops, the old paths that generations have walked, the laughter of friends racing down dusty lanes, the smell of fresh bread drifting from a neighbor’s window, or the way the mountains stand like ancient guardians.

Adults often pass these moments without noticing—but children never do. Their eyes catch magic in the ordinary, meaning in the simple, and hope in the everyday.

In Armenian culture, the village is more than a place where people simply live. It is identity, heritage, and the symbolic root that grounds every person.

Great Armenian poets—Hovhannes Tumanyan, Avetik Isahakyan, Yeghishe Charents, Silva Kaputikyan—portrayed their villages as warm, modest, spiritually rich worlds intertwined with nature, filled with memories, struggles, work, and a deep sense of homeland.
