This month, we are thrilled to recognize Zepure Jerahian, a visionary artist, nutrition consultant, and entrepreneur whose work bridges the worlds of beauty, compassion, and social awareness. Zepure is the founder of Mashkinc.com, a skincare line inspired by her dedication to wellness, sustainability, and empowering others.
Zepure Jerahian, an Armenian-Syrian-American artist, has lived a life marked by creativity and resilience. Born and raised in Aleppo, Syria, she grew up immersed in a vibrant cultural heritage that shaped her artistic vision and deepened her empathy for others. In 1988, she moved to the United States, bringing with her a passion for art and a commitment to uplifting voices often unheard. Zepure graduated from the Global Institute for Alternative Medicine in 2004. She assisted numerous people in her community in losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Beyond her entrepreneurial success, she has earned widespread acclaim as a powerful storyteller through her art, using her talent to shed light on global humanitarian crises. Her exhibit, “Unheard Voices,” has become one of the most celebrated displays at the newly opened Armenian Arts Gallery in Glendale, CA, moving visitors with its raw emotion and profound storytelling.
Her art work reflects her own journey and the enduring strength of her community, drawing on personal experiences to tell the stories of those who face unimaginable hardships. Through her evocative paintings, Jerahian brings focus to the resilience, pain, and humanity of refugee women and children worldwide. The “Unheard Voices” exhibit features 17 powerful acrylic-on-canvas works of varying sizes, each capturing the personal narratives of individuals displaced by war, violence, and persecution. Approximately 70% of the collection highlights the plight of Syrian refugees, a subject close to Jerahian’s heart. The remaining works tell the stories of refugees from regions such as Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Honduras, Cambodia, Rwanda, Vietnam, World War II Poland, and World War I Armenia, underscoring the universal impact of displacement and loss.
One of the exhibit’s most poignant aspects is its ability to connect visitors with the emotional and physical realities of its subjects. Each painting tells a story of survival, courage, and hope, inviting viewers to reflect on their shared humanity. Jerahian’s work is not only a tribute to the resilience of refugees but also a call to action, urging us to confront the global challenges that force millions to leave their homes in search of safety and dignity.
On May 2nd and 3rd , 2025 Zepure Jerahian set to unveil a new collection at the Armenian Arts Gallery. This highly anticipated exhibit promises to further explore themes of perseverance and human connection, offering audiences a fresh perspective through unique artistic lens.
For those inspired by her work, Zepure also accepts custom art commissions, creating deeply personal pieces that capture individual stories and experiences. To connect with her and explore more of her creations, visit her Instagram page at @zepureart.
