Highlight of the Month: Marina Galstyan

This month, we are proud to honor Marina Galstyan, an extraordinary individual whose
dedication to history, her music, mental health, substance abuse. Prevention and cultural preservation continue to inspire. A distinguished historian, accomplished writer, and mental health professional with a music background. Marina has authored several notable works, including The Forgotten Ancient Armenian Gods and the beloved children’s book The Brave Little Apricot. Her current project, a highly anticipated book on the legendary Armenian figure Garegin Nzhdeh, is set for release in 2025.

In addition, she recently completed Ashur and Aram: Legacy of Allegiance, a heartwarming children's story about the enduring friendship between the Assyrian and Armenian peoples, which will be available to purchase soon. We have decided to highlight Marina not just because she is an amazing writer and person, but because she represents what Armenian females and mothers are truly about. An Armenian mother is the heart of the family, embodying warmth, strength, and resilience. Armenian mothers are known for their deep cultural pride and commitment to passing on traditions. Marina, as a mother, exemplifies this dedication by putting Armenia ahead of everything.

Remarkably, she donates the profits from her books to support various projects,
ensuring that her contributions have a lasting impact. As the founder of ArmeniaTheGreat, Marina curates a rich collection of stories, facts, and historical insights that showcase Armenia’s cultural richness. Through this platform, she has become a pivotal figure in sharing Armenia’s history with the world. Her leadership extends to the Armenian-Assyrian community, where she fosters unity between these two ancient nations, promoting cross-cultural exchange and understanding with her Assyrian counterpart. She also started a Nzhdeh movement in Armenia, which she hopes will spread all over the world where Armenians live. She donates Nzhdeh books to children and invites others to participate.

Marina Galstyan is a beacon of passion, resilience, and dedication. Her life's work is a
beautiful testament to the power of culture, history, and love for one’s homeland. It is
with deep gratitude and admiration that we celebrate her as this month’s highlight—an
inspiring example for all of us.
